The theme of the assignment is about power, however, different poeple and things have their own unique powers, and I tired to express different powers through architecture and landform. It includes the power of Lady Gaga's popularity, the power and influence of products designed by Jonathan Ive, the power of nature and also the power of technology.
Landform:
I got inspiration from Yosemite valley, one of the most famous valley in USA. I created a natural valley which based on some photos, I think the grand and cliffy valley is a representation of the power of nature. A river is made to give a sense of the power of movement.
Bridge:
the bridge is designed to be movable, I tired to give clients a 'suprise' that when they reach the bridge area, they have no idea where is the bridge and how their offices conncet together. Through hotkeys, the bridge parts combined together from two offices, two tunnels stretch towards central part for walking and moving. Without movement, there's no bridge, and people could enjoy the whole landform of valley and sunshine, once the bridge conncets, there is a 'disturbance' on natural landfrom, a power to affect nature form, or a power of technology.
The central part's design idea is similar to Ryue Nishizawa's Teshima Art museum, it looks pure, simple and soft. Client could view the sky through the hole on the top, and elevators also pass through the top.
The stretch parts are designed based on two clients' features. Lady Gaga's are made of geometry shapes, which is one theme of her costume. Jonathan Ive's part is based on the Apple laptop, thin and light. A small vehicle is used to transport clients.

Since Lady Gaga's biggest characteristic is her vaired costume and stage design, most of them looks modern and a bit weird, I designed the building with sharp shapes, combined with curvy shells, to present the her diverse style. Sharp shapes and big slope give a feeling of wave, the popluarity wave which is made by Lady Gaga. Her songs and performances influence the whole world, just like a huge wave. If beholders see the building from flank, the whole office has a tendency of rasing from cliff side to the bridge, which is a repersentation of the unstoptable raising of her popularity.
The elevator also looks sharp, in order to be harmony with her office. Idea comes from one of her stage design.
Jonathan Ive's office and elevator
Jonathan Ive is the one of Apple design leader, so my design principle is clear, be similar to Apple and Jonathan's design. Jonathan's design principle comes from Dieter Rams, and everything Jonathan designed looks smooth, simple and clear. There's no too many colors on one item, and most of them have smooth edges. So the office i designed is based on his design of ipod and laptops, they have round corner and combined by one simple shape. One thing impressed me is that Apple's products are also easy to use and easy to understand, there's no thick introduction books accompany with products. This is also the power of Apple, keeping everthing simple. Hence the office I designed is also simple and clear, transparent glass allow people to see the space inside, the whole structure of the building. Appearence of the office shows the characteristcs of Apple's products.
Meeting Place and dining/meeting table
I set the meeting place on top of one side of valley (above Jonathan Ive's office), so clients could view the whole landscape of valley. Standing on the top and overlooking the ground could also be explained as a power. The meeting place's design echoes with the central parts of bridge, idea comes from Teshima Art Museum as well.
Dining table combines the featrues of two clients, round edge, clear contour and also modern and unusual.

the reason i make a hole here is that even the bridge is uncombined, i.e. this tunnel doesn't stretch, people could still enter this tunnel. (if u want to jump through here, make sure u have parachute :P)
