This photo was taken by my visual art teacher when I attended visual art final artwork presentation. I finished 6 lino printings as a group for my final HSC artwork. I combined traditional Chinese art elements with characteristics of Chinese modern city to appeal public to focus on the environmental issues in the country, as well as the disappearance of traditional Chinese art and culture.

The architecture shown in the photo is new Suzhou Museum. It was designed by famous architect Mr. I. M. Pei. This new museum is also the last design of Mr. I. M. Pei in his career. Suzhou is my hometown, while I.M.Pei's ancestry was a prominent family in Suzhou as well. He spent his childhood on his family's garden in Suzhou. Just as he said "It did have an influence on my work." For this new museum, or a new symbol of this city, I.M.Pei explored the essences of Suzhou traditional architecture, artworks and contemporary architectural trend to finish this final masterpiece in his career.

This is an original photo taken by a Japanese photographer. I use it as wallpaper on my computer since the image gives me a feeling of peaceful and silence. Meanwhile, blue and black are my favourite colors. Through the photography, we also feel the charm of nature.
MUECK: scale, isolate, realistic
MALANGI: nature, review, indigenous
BANKSY: freedom, satirize, amorphous
